Chrome

Ik ben de laatste tijd steeds meer gebruik gaan maken van Google Chrome (sinds deze uit was op de Mac). Gisterenavond na tal van windows open te hebben staan in Firefox en ik in 3 documenten tegelijk bezig was ging Google Docs en de Blackboard applicatie (digitale schoolomgeving) van de Open Universiteit met elkaar op de vuist. Firefox was het zogenoemde haasje en kon niets anders doen dan wachten, wachten en nogmaals wachten. Op een gegeven moment was ik het beu en besloot ik Google Chrome eens op te starten.

Daarin heb ik toen Blackboard geopend, Google Docs, en nog een aantal sites ter naslag. Eerlijk gezegd was het een verademing! Een clean interface en zeer snelle presentatie van gegevens op de pagina. Gewoon snel dus!

Het is moeilijk voor mij om afscheid te nemen van Firefox, vooral omdat ik dan de extensions zal moeten missen. Zo lang dat nog niet geregeld is in Chrome, zal het ben ik bang ik deze browser naast elkaar moeten draaien.

Vrijdag 6 november 2009 is mijn kleine baby zoon geboren in de vroege ochtend rond 3.30 uur. Zijn namen zijn, Arjun Krishna Balaram.

De bevalling ging voorspoedig, alleen ligt Arjun zelf al een week in het ziekenhuis. Hij moet nog leren drinken en hij heeft last van een flinke verkoudheid. Al met al is het wel een vechtertje en gaat het soms beter en soms wat minder. Ons hoofd ligt vooral bij de kleine en zijn dan ook dag in en dag uit in het ziekenhuis. De neonatalogie afdeling van het Juliana Kinder Ziekenhuis is echt top! Dus hij is wel in goede handen. Streng zijn ze wel, alleen ouders mogen op bezoek komen (24 uur per dag) en geen andere mensen of kinderen.

Hierboven was Arjun net 1 dag oud.
